Homemaker/Personal Care, often called HPC, supports a person to be more independent while meeting their daily living needs. Homemaker/personal care advances the individual’s independence within his/her home and community and helps the individual meet daily living needs.
Remote Support allows an off-site direct service provider to monitor and respond to a person’s health, safety, and other needs using live communication, while offering the person more independence in their home.
Remote Support uses two-way communication in real time, just like Skype or FaceTime, so a person can communicate with their providers when they need them. A person can choose supports like sensors that call for help if someone has fallen or cameras that help monitor who is visiting a person's home.
This service is always combined with Assistive Technology
Transportation can be used for community activities, accessing waiver services, and completing daily living tasks. This is typically used in conjunction with homemaker personal care services to get to and from activities with a provider.
This service includes help with things like getting dressed, making food, and accessing things in the community. With Participant-Directed Homemaker/Personal Care, a person may decide how much to pay their staff and they may act as the employer.
